Lile has published many scientific articles and book chapters in addition to one book on “International Law on the Aims of Education” (Routledge 2021). One might divide the scientific publications in the following main topics:

Hadi Strømmen Lile is a professor of law at Østfold University College. He is a legal and sociology of law scholar. He did his PhD at The Norwegian Center for Human Rights, at the Law Faculty of University of Oslo. He grew up in Finnmark, in the North of Norway. His father was a Sami and his mother is from Iran.


He has been working as a senior advisor for Save the Children Norway and as an advisor for Galdu - Resource Center for the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Kautokeino. He has also worked as a journalist for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and as a newspaper journalist for Finnmark Dagblad.

He is the leader of the Research Ethics Committee (Redelighetsutvalget) at Sami University College/ Sami allaskuvla. He was the chief editor of the legal journal Kritisk juss (The Critique of law Journal) for six years (2014-2020). He's been a member of The National Committee for Research Ethics in the Social Sciences and the Humanities (NESH) for four years. He's also served 2 years as a member of the Press Complaint Commission (PFU) in Norway.
